Mirimuto Sato
The Dragon Clan is defined by it's difference to others. They combine the pragmatism of the Crab, with the freedom and openness of the Unicorn and the inscrutability of the Phoenix. The other Great Clans could never make sense of them, which is why their mastery of such esoteric battle arts elevates their mystery into myth.
Sato was born the son of a minor daimyo, and after his naming day joined the Taoist Blade monastery, a great honor for his family, but also a sad one. As a monk, Sato could no longer inherit his father's position, a duty that would now fall to his younger sister. He trained in the monastery for a decade, then returned to his family lands to enter the service of his father's lord, Mirumoto Daiki. His skill with a blade led to him becoming the daimyo's yojimbo, his bodyguard. It was mostly a boring position, but Sato applied himself to bladework and the training of Kiho vigorously, because it was his duty.
However, as good as he strived to be, representing his lord in duels, protecting him on the few occasions they went into battle, and when that lord passed on, Sato served his son the same way. But when the boy was only twenty, he was caught by surprise by a deceitful attack and, wounded, watched as an assassin murdered his master. There was no choice, he had failed, and to cleanse his soul he had to take his own life. As he took his wakizashi in hand, the world froze, then everything...shifted…
At that point, Sato was recruited by his Patron as part of Nexus's game. Nearly instantly upon being acquired, he appeared in a pokemon hospital where pokedexes were being given out by Professor Baobab.
He got a pokedex, not having been present to know what it was, but put it with the wide array of weaponry he already had in his bracer's inventory just the same. Shortly after, he was teleported by Nexus into another world made of large blocks, where he met the dragon Lylia. He immediately swore an oath of fielty to the dragoness.
The Patron then stopped paying Nexus, but since Sato had sworn himself as property to Lylia, he was Lylia's property. But Lylia's Patron stopped paying Nexus as well. The two of them ended up in the Redistribution List along with all either of them owned.
