Olivia Pretre
Bio: Olivia was born in Silverlight, her parents being merchants that played a small but significant role in the inter-world trade. Her own interests were more focused on scholarly pursuits than the family business, but since her older brother was eager to take up that mantle anyway, her parents had little problem with her studies, encouraging her and funding her place at the university instead. Olivia studied a wide array of magical theory, including a bit of hands-on experience with Forging, a magic that her unique abilities allowed her to access, before graduating with a thesis proposing a more universal nature to the 16 allomantic metals through their use in Rosharan Fabrial construction.
Olivia is curious and intelligent, intending to travel the various worlds and expand her knowledge of magic. She chafes at the restrictions placed on the sharing of knowledge with the inhabitants of the worlds she visits, though she understands the reasoning behind it at least somewhat. Her dream is to one day write a book on the same level as the Ars Arcanum.
*Unlike, say, a planeswalker from MtG, travelling between the worlds in the Cosmere can be done merely with specialized knowledge. The walls between worlds/dimensions are thinner in locations with enormous concentrations of magical power (like a significant chunk of a god's power), allowing someone with the correct knowledge to slip between them and travel to different worlds. This is something that won't necessarily be possible in other places if there are no sufficiently big concentrations of power, so I don't think it'll cause issues with the idea of getting yanked around by Nexus semi-unwillingly.
She's got a set of two large bands of Duralumin that she wears around her upper arms and uses to store and retrieve Connection. She also has a couple of vials of Duralumin flakes on her for use with her allomantic ability. Apart from that she'd have her well-annotated copy of the 'Ars Arcanum' (One of the most important reference works on magic as a whole) on her.
