Originally a part of the Groškile people, several pressures brought on by the war caused a cultural split that simmered under the surface until the group had a chance to settle down, and no longer have to be so directly concerned all of the time. Then the differences came under the spotlight.
Despite the differences, the Östkile and the Groškile are still concentrated within the country that they formed, Greniströnd.
