The Battle of Third Fields

The closing battle of the War of Red and Blue Poppies, it was a confluence of the whole conflict with the majority of the belligerent fighting forces almost all met on the single field of battle.
Originally starting as a raid by Greniströnish forces in an attempt to burn the last of Hønesøras opium and Mana processing plants, thus cutting off their main source of income for funding the war, not to mention the damage that would do to their efforts to triage their own wounded.
Doing so would make the war untenable for Hønesøran forces, and thus they moved in force to put a stop to the incursion. When the two forces met, they moved to engage with their traditional dedication to decisive action, putting both armies on a direct course for what turned out to be the heaviest fighting of the whole war.
The battle started in the early morning and went on for three days, fought from dawn until dusk each day. Whole formations were destroyed completely by magic, canon fire, cavalry, and storms of bullets by arquebusiers. In the end, both armies were terribly mauled and crippled by casualties. Neither could continue fighting and neither side had achieved their objectives completely. The poppy fields had been burned (and trampled and crushed) but the refining plant was still standing.
