The Immortals of Archaemon, often simply refered to as the Immortals, are an elite fighting force hailing from Sin-inun and are seemingly at the direct beck and call of the nations king, Archaemon.

As an orginization, they've existed for nearly as long as their home nation has, reportedly being created soon after the god-kinf Archaemon founded the country with his children. They've remained in operation ever since. 

They're equipped with the best, perportedly from the god-kings own armorsmiths, trained till they can drill flawlessly, and are personally enchanted if the rumors are to be believed.

Their numbers, as in the amount of active fighters that they have, is paintakingly maintained at ten thousand. They have a pool of recruits that are simply waiting in the wings to be inducted to full membership should casualties be taken, but given the way that they are equipped, that is a rarity. 

To actually be inducted into the Immortals is a great honor, and those that are accepted have their names carved into the very stone of the temple of the Shepard of the Black-Iron Hook, which doubles as a temple to the main Icon of Sin-inun and the home base of the Immortals.

Amusingly, the number of the ten thousand refers only to it's active fighters, and not to any of the staff and workers that keep a modern corps running. In reality, if all is taken into account, the number would be far less even and and imperious sounding. Somewhere a couple thousands pairs of hands above what it is.
