A mask of golden scales covering the lower half of the face. Etched inside are one of the following two inscriptions:

The letters change based upon the gender of the person holding it.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

When the words "Swim Merman" or "Swim Mermaid" are spoken, the mask transforms the wearer's lower body into something resembling fish or sea serpent. The wearer's base swim pace becomes 12". It also permits the wearer to breathe naturally under water and even speak naturally as well as to see perfectly as if wearing goggles. Any non-magical clothing are incorporated into the body transformation, but any armor bonuses are lost to the lower body. Any power-consuming technology on or in the affected body parts will disrupt the transformation.

If the wearer speaks the words "swimmer man" or "swimmer maid," the charges are reverted. The wearer will be able to breathe and see underwater for a full minute after speaking these words, whether reverting from Merform or not.

This item is suspected of being constructed by the mysterious entity known as Entendre.
