The Dha-Gillain

The Dha-Gillain, also referred to as the twin lakes, are a set of connected 2 lakes located right in the middle of Griselderyn. Their name has its origin in the old Briathain language of the people native to these lands, and roughly translates to “The lakes of the Twin Spirits”, likely originating from the belief that both lakes are inhabited and watched over by a mighty nature spirit.
Throughout the history of Griselderyn, many people have settled along their shores, as they are both an abundant source of food and riches, and the nearby griselder woods provide ample protection from the elements.
The twin lakes are home to many species of shellfish, and many divers have found not only pearls, but also moonstone and jasper here.
