Temple of Auril (Dhaar)
This temple is the main religious building in Dhaar. Build as a place for worship to the Auril , the god of winter, most locals stop by at least monthly for routine worship and annually on the winter solstice for a vigil.
Purpose / Function
Built to worship Auril, the main room of the temple is a hexagon with a snowflake mosaic on the ground. The center has an inset bowl where offerings are burnt. There are other smaller indents around the rest of the room where pillows can be placed as seating.
Alterations
The rooms on the side have been built up and changed over the years as the needs of the community and priests have changed.
Architecture
The central room in the temple is a hexagon with a snowflake mosaic on the floor. Each point of the snowflake leads to a short hallway with a room at the end. One is the entrance to the temple, one is the priests quarters, another is their supplies. One is a store room with worship supplies and sacred texts, one is full of supplies for people seeking shelter, and the last is kept cold and full of snow.
