Saltmarsh

Saltmarsh is an important regional port town in the western Azure Sea located at the mouth of the Kingfisher River. While fishing has traditionally been the main industry, Saltmarsh also sits at one end of the famed Northern Road. The flow of goods from interior towns like Burle, Burnside, and points farther afield has increasingly seen Saltmarsh emerge as a competitive trading entrepôt on the Azure Coast. Recently, the town has emerged as the nexus of resistance to the Sahuagin Menace which threatens to overwhelm the western Azure Sea region.

Government

Saltmarsh is run by a town council whose members are drawn from the monied upper class of the area, who are almost invariably involved in a range of merchant operations and trading schemes. Currently members of the council include the famed merchant Gellan Primawater, Eda Oweland, the head of one of the town's oldest families, and the young Anders Solmor.
