The Trading Post

A small rural trading post and waystation located roughly halfway along the Northern Road between Saltmarsh and Burle. Originally founded a decade ago by a former business partner of Galen Primawater, the joint venture was originally intended to serve travelers along the Northern Road and provide the scattered farmsteads and hamlets north of Saltmarsh with a more easily accessible site to buy and sell their goods. The trading post includes an inn, smithy, butchers, bakery, and stable, as well as a small bookshop and herbaria.
Primawater's business partner abandoned his investment in the trading post when the first rumors of the Sahuagin Menace began to slow down economic activities along the Azure Coast. A gang of exotic animal smugglers took advantage of the uncertainty and set up their headquarters in the trading post, but disappeared under mysterious circumstances when a sudden cold spell hit the region. Control of the trading post has since been given to The Forever Pumpkin Platoon as a reward for vanquishing the cold-hearted evil that had taken over.
