Military action
The adventures notice a ship anchored out at sea and decide to investigate
The party notices the silouette of a ship in the distance. It seems to be communicating using a sequence of lights. The players decide to approach the ship to investigate. The two Hobgoblins, Gork and Mork, accompany the party. After failing to convince the crew they are part of The Scarlet Brotherhood a battle ensues. During the fight, the party encounters three Lizardfolk who are surprised and eventually join the fray. Eventually, the party is successful at killing or capturing the entire crew. Two notable captives are the Sea Ghost's First Mate, Bloody Bjorn and the deck wizard, Punketah. The party's only casualty is the Hobgoblin Gork. The players eventually find out the name of the ship is The Sea Ghost, a Scarlet Brotherhood smuggling ship. They find several treasure chests, a weapons cache, and the Sea Elf Oceanus. After some invesitagation, it looks like the weapons were slated to go to a Coastal Lizardfolk Lounge. Upon return to Saltmarsh, Gellan Primawater, tasks the party with investigating the LIzardfolk Layer.
