Veremaan Bassanate
A collection of city states along the coast of the Golden Far, connected into a single geopolitical entity.
History
The first settlers of the area came here around 6 thousand years ago. They built 16 settlements near the coast especially in the mediterranean region to the southwest of the island. These settlements quickly evolved into large city states with connected trade routes. Much of the trade was done along the coast although there were two desert corridors or roads that connected opposite sides of the dessert via the 7 oases. As the states grew they also became more divided up until they were conquered and assimilated into the 3rd Aureian Empire. During that time they were exhausting certain resources at a rate like never before, which was only one of the reasons they wanted to separate from the empire. After that finally happened and the empire fell, the leaders decided it would be best if they merged into a single geopolitical entity known today as the Veremaan Bassanate.
