Paige's

Paiges is a bookshop in Tartaran that sells all kinds of literature mostly myths and legends of the old world. There are some copies of transcribed journals from the founders of civilization in Berghen. The inside of this shop appears slightly larger than its exterior might suggest. If this is mentioned to Paige she will tell you that she has heard it a million times everyone is just crazy.

Purpose / Function

Paige opened this shop in 5032 in order to sell and trade books for her collection of literature. Many merchants come here with new writing from Katatan and Berghest to sell to Paige.
In 5049 AC when Paige's was sponsored as Tartarans library she added a section of books that did not have a reading time limit, many of them educational.

Architecture

This shop is a small stone building with wooden foundations. The shingling is a dark red oak that sits atop an A frame roof. The windows are empty spaces in the walls covered with thick wooden shutters to keep out the cold. underneath a stone archway is a dark red oak door with a curved top.

History

This shop was constructed in 5032 by a Gnome named Paige Reeder. It functioned as a library since Paige would give her customers 30 minutes to read each book they were interested in. If they did not like the book they did not have to buy it. Her customers could also come in here to read their own personal books for as long as they would like. In 5049 the towns mayor sponsored Paige's as the towns library giving Paige an income to use for building maintanence as well as to purchase books to add to the library section.
