Session 4, a vampire, elf and orc walk into a secret cult hideout

General Summary

Normal weather, 4th day of summer
The party return to Heim, a few urchins seem to be keeping an eye on them. They have cooked lunch at the tavern, with divinely cooked eggs, but out of season tomatoes and mushrooms. Pip falls ill for an hour from eating them. Renee goes to her room with a headache. The barkeep mistakes Pip for a member of the Ali Bandits
They decide to investigate the Cult of Fire further. The party head to the jail, where they find Eardbelm and a guard talking. Eardbelm tells them the captured cultists names.
Yllaxina intimidates a hobgoblin, pays the guard 5gp to leave and shoots the hobgoblin in the knee. She spends 5 minutes working on the lock as Cyrus and Pip converse with the other prisoners. Cyrus mentions the name the Vulture Blade to the hobgoblin, and learns that he resides on the 6th Pust Mountain, south of Lake Pusty. The party also learns that the hobgoblin thinks there is something magical about the Vulture Blade. Yllaxina pulls the arrow out, causing the hobgoblin to fall unconscious, Pip bandages the wound.
The party leave the jail, inform Eardbelm of what they've learnt and then work on crafting scale mail, before sleeping for the night. Yllaxina spends the afternoon researching the Pust Mountains.
Yllaxina has a tavern room with Renee in the The Black Wolf . Cyrus has a room next to theirs. Pip sleeps in the forest and Stuart stays with Talios in a secret Von Krew shrine.
Visit the leering demon, found a door covered by an illusion.
Lippy Armstrong, an urchin, tells them a candlemaker's assistance is missing (cult taken her prisoner, Jenny). He speaks like a london urchin.


They find the chandler's shop, make a large entrance, the cultists know they're there. They investigate the fire elemental guard. Cyrus picks up Candle of the Deep and spell scroll. They fought a priest, cultist and two acolytes, and intimidated a cultist to sort his life out. Keyleth Xiloscient Goldpetal and two acolytes escaped (see below).

Finished around breakfast on the 5th day of summer. Downtime eating lunch.
Stair down to undead lair. Spell scroll of flaming sphere found. Two healing potions and potion of dimunition (and the formula). They intimidated a cultist into joining the Podlaska military.
