Roasted Sunsprites

"The difference between a Sunsprite and a Sprite is simple - the sprites will panic and cry out in fear when they're going to be attacked. Sunsprites never see it coming. I reckon that they're just there to be eaten, like a plant. The Fae-Realms are filled with them. The archfeys probably keep them there to be eaten, I suspect. It's a good food source, and if you're not hungry, they make for a good light source,"

- Spiras the Fool, whilst travelling the Demiplanes.
Sunsprites are small fae creatures found within the demiplanes, being small creatures that hold a ball of fire in the middle of their bodies. They have wings made of light on either end, and the head of a bird. They soar through the Fae-realms, and can act as a light source. However, if captured, the fire can burn up the body, which would've been immune to fire before it's death. This magical blessing fades with their lifeforce, and comes with them into their afterlife. However, their body is often roasted from the heat, making these small creatures a perfect source of nutrition for those that venture into the Demiplanes. They are often found at the bottom of the food chain, only eating fireflies or small minerals to fuel their flame. The flame disperses an hour after the death of the Sunsprite, making the cooking process only last an hour.
Roasting a Sunsprite is an automatic process, these fae resembling a roast chicken once the process has finished, which makes it a comfort food for many people who are homesick whilst travelling the Fae's demiplanes. It is valued by the Lyonesians , who often bring the Sunsprites back home in bulk to sell to the masses. Lyonese even have some Sunsprites that live in their mountains and study halls, illuminating the regions when they're needed most. A sunsprite is often seen as a novice mage's first familiar, to the same status as a mouse. They value pyromancy, especially ones that involve the radiance of the Suns. In rarer cases, The Woven Bridges of Celibrig are found to be valued regions by the Sunsprites, as it brings them closer to the suns of Aitso, just like within the Mountains of Lyonese.
