Woven Bridges of Celibrig

"Just don't look down! Or, don't look up either, it has the same effect! I promise you, the last guy didn't make it that far! Lucky enough he only broke a leg or two! Just close your eyes and- wait, no, no no, that's worse! Just look forward, eyes on the ridgelines! Never, never never ever look down!"

- Skyglider Jack, to his most recent protégé.
The Court of Celibrig, now known as just Celibrig as a region within the Graceswift Kingdom, is known for most of its settlements being located on floating islands which decorate the skyline for many of the greatest views in the bordering courts. If not for the Woven Bridges, many of these people would just be nomadic lightning-hurlers that are questioned by many from below. The Woven Bridges of Celibrig allow them to journey down from the islands onto the mainland, through great stalks and vines that burst from the ground. These vines were found centuries after Psyche, a divine being that resides within Graceswift, had planted magical seeds. Across the years, once Celibrig began to advance into a functional society, gargantuan sprouts had broken from the land below and had connected the two realms together.
The vines itself are gargantuan in size, and hold enough vigour and fortification to allow for Wyrms and Giants to scale them with relative ease. Although, the twists and rivots within the vines makes it so humans, goblins, elves, and the humanoid fae have the best chances of climbing up the Woven Bridges. It takes about four hours to scale a vinestalk to get access to the Islets of Celibrig. Some of the smaller beings, such as shapeshifters and sprites, often run along the twisting portions of the vines as a sort of ramp in order to gain access to Celibrig, but this takes days and possibly even weeks. In fact, there are numerous settlements for sprites and tiny creatures across the Bridges, since the journey is so long. Many fae actually live on the bridges and vinestalks because of Fae-Prowling, as many of the hunters that scale up the vinestalks do not care enough to risk falling off of the bridges.
There are very few who actively climb these bridges for fun. It is usually for business or for personal reasons only. Some choose to avoid this altogether and rely on Griffins, Pegasi, and even dragons and wyverns to soar into the skylines to Celibrig. Those with lightning magic may even really on using it to teleport to the ground during thunderstorms, if the thunderclouds are found within the highest peaks of the sky and lash down onto Celibrig's islets too. Those who actively travel up and down for fun are known as Skygliders. They may do this for the thrill of adventure, or they wish to chart out every curve and crevice on the vines.
Many believe that Psyche had bestowed magical protections onto the vines. They cannot be burned. Dragonsflame is surprisingly unable to turn the vines to ash, but the same cannot be said to those travelling up or down. No insects are found on the vines at all, except for those brought onto the stalks by those travelling on it already. Even then, the vines are unable to be pierced and siphoned for it's nutrients. All insects that attempt live on there give up or eventually die. Also, the only way to climb the vines and bridges is with the bare hands of it's scalers. Weapons and tools cannot pierce the ground, which means the Skyscalers must use their own grip on the ledges and some advanced tools to keep themselves from falling.

Geography

The Woven Bridges themselves are gigantic vines that stretch from the ground to the sky. Not much else can be said, other than that the ground below is mostly compromised of light meadows, with one specific clump of these vines originating from a chasm on the border of Celibrig and The Bog of Colmar .

Ecosystem

No insects live on the vinestalks, but some animals do. Mostly predators that would normally be limited to the land below. Certain drakes and wyrms use this to attack birds in the sky for food.

Skygliders

Necessary for others, a hobby and lifestyle for them. Skygliders are those who find joy in charting and exploring all of the Woven Bridges. The live for the climb, and are always eager to give fellow Skygliders their experiences and knowledge. However, one big issue for them is food. Since the impervious Woven Bridges does not necessarily grow food, they have resorted to creating small platforms on areas that can be supportive of a little extra weight. On some of the more deadly or popular vinestalks, the Skygliders have made settlements and planted other forms of life for those in need of food on their climb.

Psyche

The creator of these vinestalks is a divine being known as Psyche. Their creation of these stalks at first was for more unity between the different groups of people living within Graceswift and the surrounding regions. During The Psyche Phenomenon , they often soar around these Stalks as a form of expression for what they have created.
