The Fall of the Fae

Every good story starts with 'Once upon a time', But ne'er heard a story quite like mine, So listen very carefully to my tale, All other stories sure do pale.
- First stanza of the Fall of the Fae, origin unknown.
Graceswift's Fae-Prowling had left a painful mark upon the beauty of the region, one that was clouded with darkness that rivalled the morbid reality of other regions such as Lydgartha. In an attempt to make Graceswift return to it's innocent-seeming self, many poets and people of creative origins had formed ways to make the tragic tale seem innocent, like any other nursery rhyme. Spread through bars and taverns, followed by libraries and courtyards, it soon became common knowledge of this retelling, and for new generations, it'd be treated as fact. These actions were already in opposition to, by great forces such as Psyche, but nothing much could have been done, only for the divine being to pray that the new generations to this region would not inherit their rage towards the Fae in Graceswift, a group of beings that they held dear to their heart.
Nothing's perfect, including Graceswift and it's four courts, down to the acts done against the Fae, The Red Moon becoming a growing threat, as well as the fall of Euthalia Grace, enacted by one of her sisters, and silenced by the rest out of fear or shock. Tragedy falls everywhere, but the people of Graceswift are quite the endurable bunch, as well as some of the more poetic and creative of the lands of Aitso. They managed to cover up the acts done here as a story of a fair conflict, to which nobody is to blame, far from the truth of the horrid acts. Warlords were painted as negotiators, and hunters seen as mere chasers. Unfortunately, nobody can ever the truth publicly, as the Warlords of long ago are all now dead, as are the hunters of the Fae. One notable death of them all was done at the hands of Clara, the Great, who had pursued Hunter Vatos across all of the courts, before killing him on the floating islands of Cellibrig.
In a bitter sense irony, The Red Moon themselves, vampires and werewolves, were against the Fae-Hunting altogether, and would sometimes protect some of the unlucky beings within their portions of the forest. It was the only time in all of history that the secret society had ever considered the Dryads of the Shifting Forest as allies, as they had both protected beings within their area. This alliance continued on for quite a few months, before their conflict had came back into spotlight for both of their goals.
One recipient of this tale that did not believe of the lies on it was Embla Grace, one of the older sisters of the most recent generation to the royal family of Graceswift and it's Courts. She had doubts of the peacefulness of the tales, knowing of the Warlords mentioned within the tales, and of their true intentions and actions. In pursuit of the truth, she had managed to escape the castle of which she grew up in, and began to form her own investigation. Here she had found her future girlfriend Clara, midway through her hunt for the Hunter Vatos. With their combined forces, they managed to find the hunter and whilst Embla had vowed to not kill anyone, it did not stop her from keeping him alive, letting Clara have her way with Vatos.
