Truflite
A variation of the Myconids , the Truflites are noble variations to their Myconid cousins. They are often seen as kind, well mannered individuals who can create spores that infect dead creatures to spread their young. Not only this but Truflites are known for their brewing, cooking, and alchemy. In cultures and nations where they are common creatures, they are often limited by the policing system for creating concoctions. These are often seen in narcotics, beverages, hallucinogens, and rare foods.
The reason for the naming of Truflites is because their most expensive object they can create is truffle, which is worth dozens of gold pieces on the markets. They are considered as plant creatures, and will often make the best druids and rangers, due to them both being 'one with nature' .
To the Truflite , death is an important counterbalance to life. This is a common philosophy they share with myconids. Their civilization is basically integrated into the myconids due to their own small numbers. They even share the same two gods: Zuggtmoy and Psilofyr. Within myconid cities in the Underdark, truflite often serve as scouts or soldiers due to their calming spores. The few truflites who remained in the world above live in secret, hiding in bogs and deep dark forests away from the angry mobs.
