From a Millenia ago, stands one of the last remnants of a far-gone, unnamed dwarf planet from the outer reaches of the Solar Systems, which was destroyed under unknown circumstances to the Common Sage, let alone being an unknown thing to exist to almost all others. after it's destruction, it's fragments flew across the realms and Multiverse. Though one in particular had survived with all of it's inhabitants. Castle Mitchell is said to have been a pivotal building in the Forgotten War's efforts, having held onto most of the allies of the Mitchell's War Efforts. Throughout the entire War, it held many planning sessions, battles and interactions. Throughout it's more ancient history, it was run as a small fort, but soon grew to greater sizes throughout the Ages. It holds 6 previous rulers of the Castle across it's grounds. Now however, it has been held to the Darkness it once was made to destroy. It's 6 Rulers are now held captive to the 7 Lords of Obar Dholain Greatest Buildings.
Original 6 Rulers
Lord Mitchell
Lord Mitchell is the original Ruler of Castle Mitchell. He had created it's first layers in order to fight off one named Thomason Magnolia. Mitchell had held the deadly Blade which could be used to harvest the powers of the Ocean, known as The Rain's Kraken. He resides in the top floor of the main fortress. He ruled over for the greatest and longest period for the Castle Mitchell Landmark. He also had created most of the more powerful artefacts of the castle which he used. This includes his Blade, his
Siege Shield and his most prized accessory ;
Crown of the Ill-Advised . Despite being arguably one of the greater rulers, he was killed in the final moments of his war, from a ballista being shot through his torso, yet he still defeated his enemy, Thomason, in a final stand. He managed to walk back to his unnamed castle, and sat on his throne for his last moments of life.
Paracelsus the Tinkerer
Paracelsus, or Constantine to his close friends, was Lord Mitchell's right hand man, he specified in magical arts and created the personal library to all of the Rulers of Castle Mitchell. When he discovered the body of his ally, he was distraught and named the Castle after his legacy. He assumed leadership and began his reign as new leader. Paracelsus though, found balancing rulership of a castle and studying magic to be too painful. He gave up his throne, and passed it to one of his other allies. Paracelsus had then retreated to his tower, and began to focus primarily on creating new magical items for the future.
Harold Raru
Harold was Paracelsus' first choice, a Warlord who aided in the war. His own castle had fallen in the war, and he had spent his time aiding a Nomad Clan in joining the Castle Mitchell Population. His ascension to the throne gave Castle Mitchell an army made of these Wildlings. Harold spent most of his time building up the army for any future war. To his dismay, all that came from his rulership was the anger of the previous citizens, who overthrew him and sent him into the dungeon's endless corners. Some say that he is still wandering, thanks to the magic of the dungeon, for over 2 centuries. He now fights off the Third New Lord, in order to defend his Nomad allies in the fight back against the new Lords.
Mercator the Fifth
Mercator was the people's choice, and he assumed leadership. His first goal was to expand the Castle, and gave it a Dun to surround the Castle area. Next was a trading System, which also boosted the size of the castle with a trading hall, Bell Tower, and more. He did make one fatal mistake however, and that was provoking the other civilisations, the Swordwings. A race of Bipedel Bugfolk had waged war on the Castle's people, and a minor war was made for the two. Mercator fought valiantly, and managed to slay almost all of the Swordwings whom apposed him. Though a few spies had survived and awaited for the right moment to battle Mercator. The battle was long and tiring, but in the end, Mercator had won with the cost of many deceased, he was throne off of the throne, and the Castle had entered a state of anarchy.
Lord Mitchell's Return and his Subordinate
Lord Mitchell, had returned from his death 30 years later, and was shocked to see the state of his castle. He could not do anything however, as his resurrection only returned him to a broken state of being a zombie, from Paracelsus' doing. Though Paracelsus had soon changed Lord Mitchell to become a variety of things, with Most failing. He only succeeded when he had taken 2 years to find the scripts on changing the ghostly rights of one dead to another, which had changed Lord Mitchell to gain 2 Forms of being a Revenant and a Ghost. Mitchell had to hide within the walls of the castle in it's anarchy days, before then resuming rulership and making peace with the Swordwing Legions. His mind was shattered however, from being lost do a permanent Undeath until an unnamed vengeance is carried out, from which he still does not know. He was deemed unfit to lead by Paracelsus, who had taken the time to decide the next ruler once more. Currently, Lord Mitchell resides in the top floor of the main tower, unable to govern his kingdom anymore. When no more can be done by one in the shadows, Lord Mitchell had to give up his throne, and he passed it away from him to the final ruler of Castle Mitchell. His trainee however, had assumed the throne in order to keep Mitchell as an Advisor. She went by Nuktal and focused on honing the strength of her armies. She mostly succeeded, and she went to save independent villages from barbarians and outlanders. Some of these villages had moved to Castle Mitchell, and began to expand on the Castle until it had a full Town to surround the back of it. She sadly had a poorer health, and ended up getting infected with a 'disease' that forced her into living in the Secondary Castle-Area.
Hagi Nathair
Hagi was the most evil leader of the Castle Mitchell Landmark, and held the last amount of time before Castle Mitchell was overtaken. She was a Spirit Naga in service to one of the Armies of the Shadowfell. She had shapeshifted into a Yuan-Ti and forged a bond with the likes of Paracelsus. Through the Mage, Hagi had overtaken the castle and slowly forged a secondary basement, not connected to the Dungeons where Harold would still roam. She had also entombed Nuktal to the secondary castle and slain most of the army and civilians with the aid of 2 of the new Lords. She let the forces of the Shadowfell loom in the corners of the castle, before then letting it fully take over. Her efforts succeeded, and she became the 3rd New Lord in return for her loyalty. Hagi now resides in the Dungeons of the Castle, tormenting Harold by keeping him alive every time she kills him, despite dying a few times too. Her efforts in her life soon changed to Lichdom, and she now has a Lesser Phylactery than as regular Lich, using it for tormenting any survivors with her Greed-Filled desires.
The New 5 Lords of 'Obar Dholain'
Each of the 5 new lords control a different segment of the Castle Mitchell, and has now named it 'Obar Dholain', after their original castle in the Shadowfell. Their main purpose was to survive the soon destruction of the dwarf planet. They succeeded, and was sent into an arcane voyage across the Multiverse, until hitting
Maisin Maw 's lands. The 5 Lords also have to make sure that the Original 6 Rulers don't try to Overthrow their rulership. The ranking is determined by their strength, the weakest being first, followed until the strongest.
Gartus, the Great Minotaur
Gartus is the first lord of the new Lords, and his purpose is to make sure that none enter the castle. He is seen as the weakest as he is simply a more powerful version of a Minotaur. He resides in the Courtyard, Gardens and Mazes of Castle Mitchell. He is said to hold the keys to the main segment to the castle, too. His recalling ability makes him a perfect Patrol Captain for the Outskirts of Obar. He has shaped the Gardens to best fit him and his Abyssal Patrolmen. He wears a set of eternal Mage Armour, which cancels out 1 of 3 spells casted around Gartus. Gartus is also known for killing his subordinates if they disobey him.
Donecht, of the Depths
A draconian of the underdark, migrated to Obar for a new life. Donecht is eager to show his confidence, with pride in each of his steps. He is a green draconian from the abandoned mines of Maisin Maw, with a rivalry to the other poisonous individual,
Tarrare . His area of work in Castle Mitchell is watching the general populace, keeping them in check to keep revolutions from occurring. He is also a constant supporter of the prime ruler, and will stop at nothing to prove himself as great.
Hagi Nathair
During her time as a ruler of Obar, Hagi rules over the prisons, dungeons, and wards of Dholain. She only cared about her own gain, and managed to manipulate Harold Raru into delving into one of the more dangerous locations of Dholain. She constantly loots abandoned buildings in the shadowfell portals of the dungeons, and often makes people give up their possessions to stay alive, only to kill them sooner or later.
