This document bestows the lawful capacity for accepting contracts from the official Assassin's Guild, henceforth known as the Guild, in Ascium upon _____, henceforth referred to as the licensee, by _____ of the Department of Licensing, henceforth referred to as the licensor.
This document permits the passage of the licensee through the city gates when under a contract obtained from the Guild if the contract requires such.
This document does not authorise the illegal crossing of the Ascium border upon ventures out of the city. Any licensee found to have done such will have their license immediately revoked and be subject to appropriate prosecution under decree of the Crown.
This document does not authorise the use of arcane magic for the purposes of assassination. If it is discovered that the licensee has done such their license will be immediately revoked and they will be subject to investigation by the Mage Hunters under decree of the Crown.
This document does not authorise the completion of contracts from outside of the Guild. Such contracts are illegal and will be prosecuted as murder or attempted murder under the jurisdiction of the law. This license does not protect the licensee from prosecution under the law in the event that they are caught in the act of completing a contract.
If it is discovered that the licensee has been aiding any arcane practitioner by any means their license will be immediately revoked and they will be subject to investigation by the Mage Hunters under decree of the Crown.
If the licensee is prosecuted for any crime within Ascium their license will be reviewed with assistance from the Guild. This may lead to the license being revoked.
Amendments may be made to this license by the Crown at any time. Licensees will be informed of such changes if they have left an address with the licensor. Otherwise changes and updates will be declared at the Department of Licensing HQ in Edjudence.
