Personal history

Always in the path to higher eduction, though not the magical kind, Vellia was a heavy library user in her university years and a member of the 'archeological society' that protected her when her research was frowned upon. It was one of these late library nights when she was reading up on some of the supposed exploits of the gods heroism days that she began to wonder; 'who where the gods then?' and 'what happened to them?' and ever since her research has had a goal.
She loves and respects Garnon Ambition Shailius and the Conquisitor Amissa Scientia for what they've done for her and is loyal to them but she thinks their new direction as a sect of Sight is stupid. After all what use is a mortal god?
On one of her later expeditions with her friend and archeology partner at the time, Incas Marux, into ruins that might hold some interest for her she found one that bested her. Upon her arrival there was a huge rockslide that took her arm from her. She sees it as the gods trying to keep her out and is determined to revisit it one day when she gets the chance, having the map for it engraved onto her replacement limb in defiance.
She is tormented regularly with nightmares which she also supposes is the weak gods trying to stop her. But it will not stop her.
She misses her research partner and has had no contact with her since the city has closed itself in.
