Crossbones is an outpost situated in the Fellgleam, although efforts have been taken to conceal its true nature. With its impermanent, ramshackle buildings and ostensibly improvised layout, an outsider would likely believe they had discovered a bandit camp. This observation would only be partially correct, and attests to Crossbones' intended illusion.

 

Humble Beginnings

This is where The Party's campaign in Acaelica began. However, they were almost immediately exiled after inadvertently facilitating the theft of Odac's store of Threads of the Old Weave.

 

Raid Board

The day-to-day life in Crossbones seems to begin each morning in the Operations building, where Khol Nazalk organizes a board of potential targets for raiders to investigate. Many of them are ruins discovered by scouts; others are reports of dangerous creatures that warrant hunting for the safety of the camp.

 

The board is replete with papers containing sketches, maps, and details (written in a cypher) and are posted by Khol to a singular "raid board." They are organized by level of perceived danger (descending from the most dangerous on top), and individual raiding parties will take their pick of targets each morning. This leads to the camp being largely empty throughout the day, with the exception of less adventurous (though essential) figures such as food service and administrative workers like Jasmine Pai.

Walls comprised of large wooden stakes with some climbable platforms. The gates are always closed except to permit the ingress and egress of Zau's Raiders.

 

Architecture

Chiefly tents and wooden, impermanent structures. Most appear to be in disrepair and reflect the lack of maintenance one might expect of a bandit camp.

Tucked into The Fellgleam, situated amid several large hills that rise up near the forest's center.
