Vampire

A Vampire is created when a Mortal gives their soul directly to Hess in exchange for immortality. This usually happens via a secret and ancient ritual which is a closely guarded secret by Vampires themselves.
Once a Vampire a creature's body is no longer alive and yet it is preserved, they maintain their sapience and become immortal, strong and fast. But Vampires long for what is missing, a Soul, like all the soulless undead a vampire will slowly slip into madness without a soul. However, in a ritual vampires can drain the Soul and Blood of a willing mortal, this restores the vampire's sapience to as though they were just newly made. Most Vampires must do this once per year to maintain their sapience and appearance as a fairly normal-looking (albeit slightly pale) mortal.
Aside from craving souls, Vampires have a number of weaknesses, they are repelled by light, are vulnerable to radiant damage and cannot enter ground that has been consecrated. This is because the Solar Gods believe Hess to be a Cheater in The Great Game, thus the Sun affects them so.
