Cartographer

Acquisitions Incorporated Missions can lead across vast tracks of wilderness, into ancient ruins, deep underground, or even to more dangerous or remote places. The Cartographer selects the method and route of travel for a team, and creates and maintains maps of the journey.   Formal Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Mapping out important locations and resources encountered to provide finished maps to Head Office later.
  • Plotting out routes to mission-relevant locations and objectives, and identifying and ensuring the most efficient routes to get there.
  • Performing proper maintenance and repair on all forms of transit used by the operation, or securing reliable technicians to service such equipment.
  • Minimizing exposure to dangers during transit from team's base of operations to mission locations.
  • Cooperation with other members of designated team in all mission-critical activities.
  • Securing additional streams of revenue and acquisition of resources during missions (See 'Sidequest" clause in standard employment contract)
Upon Initial selection for this position, an applicant will receive specialized training and equipment in the form of the following:
  • Proficiency in either Ride or Knowledge (Geography), or a +1 specialization bonus in one of the two should the player character already have both from their class/race.
  • An Acquisitions Incorporated standard-issue Spyglass, pair of compasses, calipers, sextant, waterproof leather map case, parchment, quills, and supply of colored inks.
And upon attaining a promotion in their selected career path, a Cartographer will gain the following abilities and privileges associated by rank:

Masters of Navigation and Movement, and responsible for logistics and navigation while on a mission. While the rest of a team may be responsible for getting the job done, it's a Cartographer's essential task to get them there!
