Loremonger

Information has value, and the Loremonger is that information's keeper. A team's Loremonger studies and records all lore relevant to it's operation, including tracking the economic, technical, and arcane methods by which the Team can be improved. A Loremonger records the deeds and history of the francise, including the names of places visited and people met during missions. These records are then set to the Head Office (Usually through a Documancer) to ensure brand integrity.
Formal Job Responsibilities Include:

• Compiles and records the history of the Team's Exploits, good and bad, for reference and review by any qualifying parties, including Home Office and the rest of the team.
• Keeps a list of contacts met, known allies and enemies, and other persons of interest relevant to the Team's day to day operations and mission objectives.
• Direct others in, and conduct research yourself, upon any subject of relevance to the current mission or quest your Team is performing. If you are not knowledgeable on this subject itself, finding someone who can elucidate on your behalf.
• Amassing knowledge and intelligence on details of tactical import, learning the lay of the land in new sociopolitical environments and who the players are; then distributing the pertinent details to other team members.
• Cooperation with other members of designated team in all mission-critical activities.
• Securing additional streams of revenue and acquisition of resources during missions (See 'Sidequest" clause in standard employment contract)

Upon initial selection for this position, an applicant will receive specialized training and equipment in the form of the following:

• Proficiency in a Knowledge Skill of the player's choice, or a +1 specialization bonus in one knowledge skill should the character already be proficient in at least 4 of them.
• An Acquisitions Incorporated standard-issue Whisper Jar, three blank journals, quill pens, ink, and a book on the zoologically dubious.

And upon attaining a promotion in their selected career path, a Loremonger will gain the following abilities and privileges associated by rank:

Strengths of monsters. Who got drunk last week and hit on the tavern wench that was just not into them. Blackmail fodder. Typos that the Documancer made. That one time someone got reincarnated as a slime.
Loremongers keep the lore of everything.
