Description

Aiden Stormrider oversees the dedicated City Guard, a skilled force responsible for maintaining law and order within Veridora's boundaries. The City Guard consists of highly trained soldiers, archers, and scouts who patrol the city streets, monitor outside the mountainous walls of Veridora, and respond swiftly to any disturbances or threats. Within the city guard there is great emphasis on rigorous training and discipline. They ensure that guards undergo continuous physical and combat training to maintain their readiness and proficiency in defending the city. The city guard work closely with intelligence officers and scouts to gather information on potential dangers, whether they be marauding creatures from the surrounding wilderness or external forces that may seek to exploit the city's resources. The City Guard is prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to any imminent threats. Because Veridora is a fairly new city, the city guard is stretched thin with its day to day duties. Therefore the city guards often offer up bounties for minor threats to the city. This could be a bounty for a particularly fierce animal in the jungle, that is disturbing merchants coming to and leaving Veridora.

Structure

Sentinel: The Sentinels form the foundational rank of the city guard. They are responsible for maintaining order, patrolling the streets, and ensuring the safety of the citizens. Sentinels are the first line of defense and often handle minor disturbances and routine tasks. Guardian: The Guardians are the next level of the city guard hierarchy. They possess more experience and skill than the Sentinels. Guardians are assigned to protect key locations, maintain security during important events, and handle more challenging situations that may require a higher level of training and expertise. Commander: Commanders hold positions of authority within the city guard and oversee a specific sector or division. They are responsible for managing a team of guards, coordinating patrols, and strategizing responses to potential threats. Commanders act as intermediaries between the lower ranks and the upper echelons of leadership. Stormwarden: The Stormwarden is the highest rank in the Veldora city guard, and Aiden Stormrider holds this esteemed position. As the leader of the guard, the Stormwarden is responsible for making critical decisions, setting policies, and ensuring the overall security and well-being of the city. The Stormwarden works closely with city officials and serves as a member of the Council of Elders.
