Downed

A condition in which a creature's hit points drop to 0 due to taking damage that does not outright kill the creature.  A downed creature is affected in the following ways:
  • The creature is considered under the Prone condition.
  • Movement speed is reduced to 5 feet.
  • The creature makes death saves at the end of each turn.
  • Taking damage while downed causes the creature to fail a death save, unless the damage taken is greater than or equal to the creature's maximum hit points, at which point the creature dies.
  • While downed, a creature can only use an action or a bonus action, and cannot take reactions.  The creature cannot use spell slots, or make more than one attack on a turn.
  • When a downed creature succeeds on __5__ death saves they are immediately stabilized and fall unconscious
  • When a nutural 20 is rolled on a death save, the creature is no longer downed and regains 1 hit point.
  • When a creature regains any hit points, the downed condition ends.  If the hit points gained are less than half the creature's maximum hit points, the creature gains the weakened condition.
