About Kreshniva

Upon first notice, Kreshniva is a frozen wasteland where nobody could ever live. Clearly someone was able to, though. Enough to make their own race.
Unlike the other regions of the Actreine Empire, Kreshniva is both a region in the Actreine Empire and a protectorate of the Actreine Empire. While it is still part of the Actreine Empire and under the rule of the Three Kings, it is also able to make some decisions for itself.

Geography

A vast majority of Kreshniva's land is filled with plains and small hills. Its southern border is primarily mountainous.
Several rivers flow down from and around the mountains, some turning into lakes.
Aside from the southern border, Kreshniva is bordered on all sides by oceans.
Some portions of northern Kreshniva are separated from the sea by large spans of ice without development, though they are still claimed by Kreshniva.
Near the southern border is a large span of forest, becoming more and more sparse the further you are from the mountains.
Some places in Kreshniva are known for the natural beauty of miles upon miles of untouched snow, especially when seen from a medium-sized hill.
There are also large artificial valleys created from the strip mines and quarries used to mine natural resources.

Fauna & Flora

Deer, boars, and wolves often live in the parts of nothern Kreshniva without civilisation. There are also some sea creatures that occasionally come to the land, like seals.

Natural Resources

Kreshniva has a plethora of natural resources. Iron, coal, copper, Mana Stones, and rubies are mined from the quarries and strip mines. Wood is cut from the forests nearby the southern border. Salt can be found both within some of the mountains at the southern border as well as the seas surrounding Kreshniva. Fish and other marine animals can be caught from the surrounding seas as well.
In the southern portion of Kreshniva, one can expect to find farms growing corn, wheat, and beans. In the north, there are often farms growing potatoes and beans.
Kreshniva also uses the fur of the wolves to make warmer clothes and accessories (blankets, hats, gloves, etc.).
"The northern reaches are a desolate hellhole, unlivable except by the most unstable creatures."
— From a Kruthian guidebook
"Our homeland is a seductive mistress, shaping and tempering her chosen to greatness."
— An unknown Kreshman
