Sunshorn Pie

Sunshorn Pie is a very popular dessert made in Kreshniva to celebrate the Kvo'sabi Festival. The name is said to come from the fact that the sun is shearing through the darkness of the winter.
Much like the Sunbaked Stuffed Pastry, the dough of a Sunshorn Pie is also potato-based. The circle used to create the pie is much larger, about the size of four pastries. The filling is made from preserved Catramansi Fruits (six or so for small family pie), some of the spices used in Warm Walkers (while they won't say which spices are left out, it's generally assumed that the euphemistic spices are what's left out), and a small portion of sheep's milk. This is mixed and left to sit for an hour before being added into the pie. A sheet of the potato-based dough is placed over the pie, slitted, and then brushed with a mixture of butter and Catramansi juice. The pie is then topped with oats, and then baked in an oven or on a hearth until it's light-to-medium brown, and the filling is bubbling through the slits.
