Moonforge

Moonforge is a large Artisan/Artificer's guild in the heart of Edogate. They have learned from and taught a great many over the centuries, continuously growing in both knowledge and skill. With one of the founding members having just begun to delve into the profession of Artifice, he showed all those in the guild what he knew. Over the years his research grew the practice of Artifice to something more closely resembling what it is today. And once he had passed, his Apprentice picked up where he left off, continuing to evolve the practice and grow their knowledge.
Inside the doors of Moonforge, the common man will find a great number of wondrous items. The large hall is full of Apprentices studying, tinkering, creating, and infusing. Everyone who has reached permanent residence within its halls has dedicated their lives to perfecting their craft. When not teaching Apprentencis, a Mentor will focus all his energy on his life's work, a marvel that utilizes every skill the Mentor possesses. These become their defining work and are passed down from Mentor to Apprentice once there is nothing more the Mentor can improve.

Structure

The guild follows the commonality of the Guildmaster being the top authority. From there, it is divided into Mentors, and under them are Aprentences. The Guildmaster handles all guild matters and formalities with a few trusted assistants. The Mentors spend their time teaching their Apprentences from anything ranging from the common basics of a craft to advanced Artificer practices and theory. Those accepted as Apprentices are assigned a Mentor based on their aptitude, and under them delve into study and practice as they hone their abilities.

Culture

The most prominent in the group of founders were the Vedalkens, as the motto of Moonforge states: "Revel in imperfection." Through them, this belief has been passed down: nothing in this world is perfect, it is only when those imperfections are recognized can they be resolved. It is in the search for perfection that all things may truly progress and evolve.

Assets

They possess a grand guild hall near the center of Edogate as well as a large ship for transportation and trade of any kind.

History

The guild of Moonforge was formed by a small group of skilled Artisans and Artificers who wished to teach others their skills. During its formation, the head and a few of the group were Vedalken's who used their cold and intelligent demeanor to teach a great many under them, and over time, instill their belief deep into the guild's foundation. Those who learned from them and the rest of the group would go on to teach others as Mentors. This process would repeat itself for generations to come as the guild continued to grow and evolve into what it is today.
With the last of the elder Vedalkans having passed, his most successful Apprentice [Arilin Lundor] took his place as Guildmaster. He has presided over the guild for a century, watching as many skilled and talented individuals have come and gone through his doors.
