Joth
Joth was an amesha of the Harsham nation. He was born approximately two centuries ago. When he was still a boy he was attacked by a manticore. Manticore venom is unforgiving and he would have died painfully if not for his nation's mastery over healing magic.
Yet even though they were able to eradicate the poison, it did permanent damage to his crown chakra. The tribe was able to keep him alive through continuous treatment, but just barely with energy always leaking out of him. It was decided that a sky spirit who lived in the north was the only one who might be able to help him.
His parents, brother, and two sisters were gifted with the supplies they needed and made the arduous journey to the spirit while treating him with medicines the whole way.
The kind sky spirit was moved by the family's love for him and was knowledgeable of the Harsham nations nobility. She let fall a tear drop of the northern sky into his forehead which merged with his damaged crown chakra. Joth was instantly healed.
With a piece of the sky now a part of him, Joth experienced life differently. He became infatuated with the realms that spirits lived in and was able to see how they were all connected. Joth grew up to become a world traveler in pursuit of knowledge, going far beyond the traveling route of his nomadic tribe. he suffered hardships along the way as well as great joy. Yet what would have been momentous events for him passed quickly as if they did and did not matter at the same time, as if he expected everything that unfolded for him before they did.
Through his journey and study of realms, Joth ascended to become a spirit himself, a patron of travelers and a messenger of the spirits between realms. Because many spirits are locked within specific realms or places, Joth is invaluable to them as their form of communication and bringer of outside knowledge. He is incredibly difficult for mortals to get a hold of, and it is usually only by happenstance that he crosses paths with and blesses travelers.
I have heard many braggarts falsely claim to have summoned him. Because he is always travelling a localized summoning spell is rather pointless. And even if he does sense a summoning for him, why would he respond to mortals whilst carrying vital information between spirits?
