Laughing Abyss
Largest swamp on the continent.
Travelling here is extremely difficult. The ground is made of soft and wet moss and it can easily give way under a travelers feet. If you're unlucky enough to fall through the ground one of two things can happen; either you get stuck in waste deep, cold, and dark water, or the bog simply swallows you whole and you disappear under the marsh.
Geography
Over 12 500 square miles of at least knee deep swamp. The ground has a layer of water on top of it almost everywhere. This water is dark, murky and cold. You can't see the bottom of the water, making it impossible to know where is safe to step and where you'll fall into deep water and the swamp will swallow you.
Where the water doesn't cover the ground it is made of marshy wet moss. The ground makes wet noices when you step on it and fills your boots with cold water. Walking here is risky since the swampy ground can give way at any point, swallowing you under the ground. The only hope if this happens is that someone else rushes to you and pulls you up. Many lone travellers have come here and never returned.
In the middle of the swamp one can find the town of Bogton.
