The Great Fire of 1336

This event took place two years ago in the spring of 1336 in Folksreach. Some speculate it was caused on purpose.
A church of Qera caught alight and the fire spread to multiple other buildings. Lance "Weak-Leg" Grant was in charge of putting out the fire, since he is the Mayor of Folksreach. Many men were sent to fight the fires and most of it was able to be handled within a few days. One fifth of the town was harmed by the fire and you can still find houses that have not been rebuilt.
What caused the fire was never found out, but its point of origin was a local church of Qera. This is where eight young men were sent to fight the fire. Lance "Weak-Leg" Grant stood outside and gave orders to the men and for a moment he was hopeful. They managed to stop the fire from spreading to a nearby granary, but when putting the fire out inside the church the roof collapsed. This killed all eight of them by either crushing them, trapping them and suffocating them, or by burning them to death. Lance could only stand and watch this gruesome sight. This memory haunts him to this day. He says that he dreams of it every night.
Folksreach is still to this day rebuilding some buildings that were damaged or destroyed by the fire. Over a thousand people lost their homes and livelyhoods. The last two years have brought the people of Folksreach together under a common goal.
