Session XXXVI: Dorcan's Disloyalty

General Summary

After a brief argument over the Grimoire, Heigolor and Elandril put their differences aside—still untrusting of each other—in order to work towards their common goal of destroying the Cult. They journey back to the Haven, only to find it in the midst of an emergency. The party talks to some of the Twisted Blades members running through the halls, who reveal that Dorcan has betrayed the Twisted Blades. More specifically, he had taken the Decanter of Endless Water, as well as stealing the item responsible for keeping the Haven's location a secret. The party rush to assist the Twisted Blades, and determine that Dorcan is using one of the escape routes from the Haven, which leads into the sewers. The party finds that Dorcan has blocked off the escape route, locking the metal door and keeping the party from exiting the Haven. Though, this doesn not hinder the party for long, as some party members Misty Step through the small bars in the door and unlock it for the rest of the party. The party chases Dorcan through the sewers, and eventually gain sight of him, at which point Micnik uses Dimension Door to get in front of him and engage him in combat. The rest of the party catch up, and the encounter ends with Elandril killing Dorcan and retrieving the Decanter and the Haven's protective device. However, just before the party can truly declare victory, Kuchek Goralin turns the corner—infected with the Breath of Madness and seemingly already engaged in a fight.
