Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Alexi has a quick wit and a roguish charm that he wears upon his face despite the serious life he lives. His eyes twinkle with mischief, his face almost constantly a little smug, a little uppity. He's confident, some might say cocky, and carries himself as such. An athletic young man, with a lithe frame, not just quick of wit, but with fast reflexes and fast hands.

Body Features

Much like his twin sister, he was blessed with a decently average facial structure and body type, which has allowed him to be very successful in both supporting them through a variety of illicit means, and in helping insure she hasn't been found out and arrested or worse.

Facial Features

His pale blue eyes ooze confidence, his lips seeming to rest in a constant partial smirk. Despite this slight cocky look and attitude, he has a friendly and relatable look to him, a face you could trust, one might say. Which is entertaining when one gets to know him, because unless you are his sister, or nowadays one of his two closest companions in Drard and Ivellios, you most definitely should temper any trust you have for him.

He has a tattoo on his left shoulder, a black and silver kraken, the mark of the Cephla, the Thieves Guild that operates its network in most of Northeast Mora, which is run out of Port Renis

Special abilities

As most with Renarii heritage, he is a natural born swimmer, taking to the water as if he were part fish, which seems to be a trait unique to the Renarii peoples.

Apparel & Accessories

Alexi chooses to dress simple enough in most cases. Well oiled hardened leather and hide tunic and greaves for armor when traveling, light weight offering limited protection, but no effect upon his mobility. A blacked out cloak, simple, soft, subtle, with a proper cowl. He generally keeps two sets of clothes with his traveling gear, some simple run down rags, like a beggar or poor laborer, and some flashier outfit, something that a relatively wealthy or well off noble brat or merchant's son might well wear. He's a young man of many hats, as they say.

Specialized Equipment

Alexi does travel with a basic suite of lock picks, shims and other tools for lock-smithing, and does sometimes refer to himself as 'a locksmith of a sort'. Much like his sister, he also keeps a fancy little wheel-lock pistol, known as a coat pistol, on his person. Small, not very good on range, but highly concealable and packing a notable punch for its size. He is a self taught fencer, and for his age and lack of instruction, is not without skill. He prefers cutlass to sabre or rapier and pairs it still with a main gauche, an odd, but functional partnership.

Alexi is also pretty well practiced in disguise, even able to pass as a woman with relative ease and some preparation time, a fact he finds quite useful and is proud of.

Personal history

Alexi and his sister Liesa are orphans to the best of their knowledge, and have grown up rough, very rough. Their mother died birthing the pair of them, and their father went missing at sea some twelve years ago, believed to be dead. From a young age he's been the provider, the caretaker, and his sister's protector, and that role only became more pronounced when at eight years old she started showing signs of having 'The Touch'. She has no fear of her abilities and no desire to be dragged into the Magisterium, forced into an education she does not desire or want. Alexi takes it upon himself to keep them both safe, and as such, being a poor orphan, he got in with a questionable crowd at a young age, and by twelve years of age was a fully fledged and inked member of the Cephla in Port Renis, their home.

However at fifteen on a job, he found himself at odds with the guild, for he was unwilling to do a job. He was to plant documents in the home of a local fully licensed magister, implicating them of fratenizing with an apostate. To this day Alexi doesn't know what compelled him or told him to break the seal and read those letters and notes, but he is very glad he trusted his instincts and did so. The forged letters and documents did indeed implicate the magister, however they named his sister as the apostate in question. He didn't do the job, but absconded with the money for the job, lying to the Raker whom had tasked him with it to get paid, then he and his sister disappeared. He knows at some point they'll likely take a shot at him, whether directly or by hiring someone or some group to do it for them, but has no regrets. He destroyed the evidence they'd manufactured against his sister, destroyed the documents, and utilized the good will and trust he'd earned over the three years of service to abscond with the near thousand gold fee. That was almost four months ago, and that gold is long gone now, having supported him and his sister the entire time.

Motivation

Alexi's primary motivator in most anything is his twin sister Liesa. He feels responsible for her, feels it is his job and his task to keep her safe, to provide for both of them, to watch over her and protect her in a fashion, especially given her...unique condition.

Speech

Alexi is generally a bit cocksure, a little crass, and has some attitude in his demeanor and tone, with a notable, but not thick, accent; tropic with tempo and heat to his tone and pitch. He is not the most skilled actor, but can surpress this natural accent well enough, and is capable of speech patterns that sound more upper class, more socialite, when needed.
