Stunned {X}

Your head is ringing, mind spinning, as you try and focus and reorient yourself.

Causes

Certain melee combat techniques can inflict this condition, as can blows from particularly large or powerful creatures, as well as a wide range of spells, supernatural abilities and strange toxins and effects.

Symptoms

This is another specifically combat context type condition. Basically it represents getting dummied, getting hit in the head, or clocked so hard your mind is spinning, your vision blurred and foggy, your body just not really in a responsive mood for a brief few seconds.

Adventures in Valerick: Similar in some senses to Slow, Stunned has a variable beside it. However unlike Slow, this variable doesn't cap, however it also reduces far quicker. The number in brackets represents the number of actions you lose until you can do things again. Every turn, you reduce this number by the number of actions you could have taken. Once you get to the point where you do not have a high enough Stunned variable to equal your total possible actions in a turn, you lose the number of actions required to bring your Stunned counter to 0, and then the rest you may use as normal.

Treatment

Getting stunned can be very dangerous very quickly if someone keeps taking such blows or suffering from such effects, but thankfully it is also a condition easily removed by many magicks, techniques, abilities and also can fade very quickly.
