This substance is a dangerous one, and can get a chemist in a world of trouble. It is heretical. It is illegal. On paper you should know nothing about this. However, the truth is...it can be exceedingly useful, seeming to have reality bending effects if ingested.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

CN: 18, Tier II; 23, Tier III; 28

Toxicity: Ingesting this concoction will deal 1d10 poison damage, or half that if the drinker can manage to succeed a Toughness Defense Test. If they failed that test, they also suffer a permanent mutation. If you are foolish enough to be trying to use more than one Mutagenic Compound at once, this damage increases by 3d10 for each mutagenic compound you've injested previously that is still acting upon you, and you would be afflicted with Toxic (3) Condition, and still inflicts a permanent mutation even if you successfully make the Toughness Defense test to avoid the condition and half the damage.

Duration: 4 hours

Basic Effects: Magick acts funny around you. Any arcane spellform that is used to target you directly immediately causes a minor miscast. Anyone attempting to cast Arcane Magick within 30 feet of you must make a Sagacity Defense Test. If failed they suffer a minor miscast, but still cast the spell. You also have a Fearful Presence of (1)

Rank II Effects: Anyone attempting to cast Arcane Magick within 60 feet of you has to make a Sagacity Defense Test. If failed they suffer a pair of minor miscasts. They still cast the spell. You have Fearful Presence of (2)

Rank III Effects: Anyone attempting to cast Arcane Magicks within 60 feet of you has to make a Sagacity Defense Test. If failed they suffer a major miscast. They fail to cast the spell. You have a Fearful Presence of (3).
