Hirpesían Mysteries

Hirpesía is an ancient goddess whose worship is most prominent on the Meldon Plain of the northern Sikíron Empire, in central Adynía, though her cult originates in Záal to the northwest. Originally a mother goddess venerated by vakkal women, her role has since changed throughout the millennia, and since the Paþarían Empire Hirpesía has been worshipped primarily as a war goddess and protector of women.
Her mysteries are restricted to women and have often been compared to the Cult of Sarketus, as it features weapon and arcane martial arts training as well as religious ceremonies near remote shrines. Each houses a wooden statue of Hirpesía, usually covered by sacred cloth and only brought out during gatherings.
Higher ranking members are identified by their shields and simple conical helmets1 adorned with images of pigeons, the sacred bird of Hirpesía, and often wander the Meldon Plain and beyond to defend those in need in the name of their goddess. They are commonly referred to as Doves of Hirpesía or simply Doves.
