Keþírus
Keþírus was an explorer from Núrak who traveled to Gráhúlysía in northern Adynía during the early fourth century a.Dr. His initial goal was to map out what was then (and still is to some extend) the edge of the known world as far the people of central and western Adynía were concerned, especially since the fall of the paþarían colony of Lera.
However, when Keþírus reached the Lakú Mountains, he was captivated by their beauty and (mostly) hospitable people there, and spent some time there to learn more about the area. He aided the natives in driving off invaders from the Wild Mountains to the east, after which he became king of one of the tribes, and eventually managed to unite the rest of the mountain people under his banner and founded the kingdom of Keþía.
Keþírus introduced a unified code of laws, a writing system, system of measurement and other things based on both núrakic and local traditions, and encouraged the aristocracy to adopt núrakic tongue, clothing and customs, all of which he considered to be aspects of 'civilized' lifestyle. Most of these traditions have since faded into obscurity, safe for the royal family and mages, but the kingdom still stands.
