Drakes (Dragonborn)
Drakes (see DnDBeyond for stats and some features) are natives to Aeatheric Greece but are relatively new to the region as whole, their economic boom has spread their influence slightly in the last couple hundred years.
Hearty, proud, savage, and clever the Drakes have adapted to the harsh conditions they grow up in in the mountain deserts of Rhodes(Island), hardening their spirits and scales. Shortly after the 600th year after the War of the Titans, an enormous earthquake cracked open parts of the island- revealing its vast. In the following hundred years, the Drake population built their capital city- Rhodes(City) and a vast trading port along the island's northern coastline. Since then, the Drakes and their city has enjoyed immense prosperity, their leaders freely spending resources towards knowledge, magic, healing, among many other endeavors.
The Drakes and the City are governed by a council of leaders of the largest guilds- for the first time in its history, there are two guilds reporting as the most prosperous and most wealthy, and it's been proven! The Miner's Guild are temporarily co-heading the council as Trade Prince & Trade Princess with the Jeweler & Gemcutting Guild, as the rivals attempt to solidify their positions- the citizens have using the Trade leaders population grabs and ploys to promise and deliver laws granting more Drakes better lives.
A majority of the population now lives in or around the city, still a number of Drakes are born and grow up in a handful of small villages scattering the wild, mountain wastes. For the most part, Drakes make wonderful laborers due to their natural strength and charisma for sales to establish their large trade empire. Most Drakes understand their place in their society and find honor in following the code of their people either by providing for or protecting them. Though some Drakes yearn to see the rest of Greece and upon reaching adulthood leave their home island for good.
Drakes are welcomed across all of Greece by mortal races, though the Gods are indifferent to their existence, their prowess and beauty always enchanting someone, somewhere. Drakes make wonderful Paladins and Sorcerer's in Greece, as their natural charisma grants them both battle and social utilities.
All Drakes in Aeatheric Greece start with the Dragon Hide feat, and may substitute their Draconic Resilience and Breath Weapon racial feature for Innate Spellcasting:
Drakes gain the ability to cast their 1st-Level spell once a day without requiring a spell slot, once per day. Upon reaching 5th level, Drakes can cast their respective 3rd-Level spell once per day without requiring a spell slot as well.
