Rhodes (Island)

The arid, mountain valleys of Rhodes are home to Drakes and Kobolds. The impoverished tribes savagely clashed for centuries following their creation after the War of the Titans- before small mining villages discovered the vast resources both within the mountains and below them. Valueable ores and their veins were discovered alongside incredible rare gemstones. The past two centuries has seen a vast increase of development, including their capital and main city, also Rhodes(City); but only a small minor have tasted the wealth granted by the quickly established council of merchant guilds, most Drakes and Kobolds are born into small tribes, either growing up to work in the mines or other manual labor in the wild and dangerous valleys, or finding work for one of the guild's in the city.
Various mines are always being discovered, established, and fought over by the guilds the largest mine by far is built into the island's largest mountain- Skywing Peak and its' mine; currently owned and operated by the Skywing Peak Mining Company [SPMC], member of and protected by the Rhode's Miner's Guild of The Red Horde.
A vast majority of the island's mountains, desert forests, cave systems and its lands have been left untouched and unexplored, civilization and populations flooding to discovery of new resources, prospects, and opportunities.
