Nyleas, Home of the Satyrs
Nyleas (nye-lay-us) is the main settlement of the Satyrs in the islands known as The Cloven Isles.
Always welcome to outsiders, Nyleas is home to a celebration that has lasted nearly fifty years, and hosts a number of travelers and pilgrims who worship Dionysus, God of Wine & Winemaking. A couple or so dozen buildings actually exist in the city of Nyleas, as most living quarters for satyrs are preferably mobile. As the home to the satyrs, their population is the vast majority, but a handful of other races happen to live in harmony among their smaller and near-constant reveling citizens.
Satyr adventurers are often selected by the closest thing to leaders satyrs have, the elder Sibyls. Sibyls select young and enthusiastic satyrs to become Dawngreets, missionaries for Nyleas- to spread the joy and story of the Satyr's home and their legendary parties and to bring new and fantastic tales back home to be performed and played for all.
