Satyrs
Satyrs (See DnDBeyond for statblocks and features only)
A small but jubilant folk, satyrs are well known throughout Greece as masterful storytellers, singers, performers, and entertainers in general. Most satyrs worship Dionysus, God of Wine & Winemaking, though a minority prefer Apollo, God of the Sun as a party without song and dance isn't a party at all, they say.
Their home is Nyleas, Home of the Satyrs, a 'city' located in the Cloven Isles at the base of Mt. Olympus. The satyrs welcome travelers and outsiders with open arms as long as they are ready to fully embrace the (long and often exhausting) reveling life that is so sacred to them. Though not everything is 100% for joy and celebration, a loose structure has formed over their nearly 800 year existence- the closest thing they have to leaders are Sibyls.
Satyr Sibyls are elders who lead and guide the community at large and young individual satyrs as they find their place in The Great Story. Sibyls are most often dealing with outsiders and travelers to the Cloven Isles who have found themselves in many predicaments by not understanding satyr culture. Many Sibyls are those who once were Dawngreets, a sort-of emissary and storyteller sent out into the world on behalf of Nyleas to spread the spirit of revelry and find new tales to bring home.
Satyrs are welcomed in most settlements outside of Nyleas, though some do find their sense of 'fun' means mischief (which isn't always wrong). Satyrs in Aeatheric Greece are often great bards, as their performing qualities are second to none among the mortal races.
