Rivenese Archers

Due to the heavy elven influence of the Idhren Dominion over the region of Tusnya, and ultimately upon the League of Southern Marches, the military forces have inherited much of the same. Elves have been known to incorporate magic into their weaponry, and although not all Rivenese Archers are elvish, they try to implement the same arcane aspects into their arrows. Using bows made of Edolian Wood, the Rivenese Archers are capable of enhancing their ammunition, turning mundane arrows into magical projectiles.
In addition, due to their proximity to the Conflux Arcana and integration with the Wardens of the Wellspring, they have extended their knowledge passed down from the elves of Tol Annûn and have begun drawing on magical properties from different schools of magi, graning them the ability to bend around corners to seek their targets by using divination magic, or causing them to explode upon hitting their targets by using evocation magic, among other effects.
Expertise in the use of an Edolian Longbow is required to join the Rivenese Archers, and their role in defending the city of Riven is typically reserved to protecting Upper Orb Farthing and Scholar's Farthing. Their abilities are highly coveted, so normally their prescence is intermixed with the infantry of the army or local guard.
Unlike the other soldiers within the Southern Marches Army, the Rivenese Archers typically do not wear the typical yellow and blue garb, but instead wear magical elven cloaks which help keep them out of sight. In addition, due to their auxiliary role outside of the standard regiments, they tend to have free reign to operate outside of the city when certain missions call for it.
