Rose Guard
The Rose Guard are a secular order of knights created and sworn to protect the Lord Chancellor of Riven. The Order of the Rose is comprised of an elite core of well-trained and well equipped troops loyal to the Lord Chancellor who fight on his behalf. Being the best soldiers available to him, Rose Guard knights form the bulk of the household guard within the Chancellor's Palace with duties on the battlefield as well as in social and political affairs.
