The Letter Itself

Reading the letter makes clear that they didn't have the time or energy to write personal letters to everyone, but the author wrote one draft and had it copied hastly by others. The handwriting of the letter differs from the handwriting of the signature. While the letter itself seems to be written by a man in a rush, the signature of Elmae Ilithana seems to be done with an effort to make it look presentable.

Distress Letters

Dear Friend,
I'm writing this letter with a heavy heart as we are not known as being people having to ask for help but we found ourselves in a spot of bother. I'm the leading officer of the island of Irun, a small isle between the mainland and Rogsh. This island is vital for us and the work we do. As of now we have been cut off from Rogsh and more importantly with that, Rogsh has been cut off from everyone!

We are in an unprecedented situation and have no where else to turn but to our friends and partners, who we always supported and supplied without fail. It is unclear to us if our situation derives from a natural cause or foulplay. The only thing that seems for certain is that it has to be magical.

We need your help, and I can assure you that success will be worth your time.
