Welcome to Aedazan
A fantastic World filled with wonderous places and ancient magic. The Continent of Aedazan is old and vast. It is hard to tell how much of the world is known and how much of it still remains untouched. Clear is, the world is dangerous. Most people have never travelled further than their neighboring town and knowledge is often contained locally. Having detailed maps of bigger areas is rare and mostly reserved for the rich and powerful. Many factions are fighting for control, and trust is a luxory most folk can't afford.
The realm is overseen by the Great Ones, eight powerful gods each controlling one of the holy domains. Nobody challanges their existence, a lot of people don't even dare to worship competing gods openly.
Magic is a part of Aedazan, but a lot of common people have never seen true magic with their own eyes. Some villages may have a resident cleric or maybe there's a rumor about an old wizard living in a nearby forest. In bigger settlements magic is a more common sight - The Capital in the Kingdom of Ettinmere is guarded by enormous golems built by the best artisans and brought to life by the wizard council of the court.
