Duke Baas of Bitterguard
Appointed to the position of Duke of Bitterguard by Fibwink himself, Duke Baas is the first frost giant in Fisterix history to earn the position of Duke.
This appointment has caused quite a stir in the higher nobility of the realm, as it completely rejects the legitimate claims of approximately 27 other claimants.
Luckily for Duke Baas, his primary rival for the position, a fire giant named Golero, disappeared when his coup was interrupted by a mysterious demonic invasion of the fortress.
Personality
Duke Baas is a known stoic, operating almost entirely on military logic. He is staunchly neutral in regards to most of the complex political world that is Fisterix, and only breaks this neutrality when it directly affects him or his charges. Despite the neutrality, Duke Baas is famed for his willingness to accept duels in lieu of official adjudication. Some scholars consider this a weakness, but his victorious track record clearly debunks this belief.
