Ord
Named for an archaic ritual of giant culture, the Ord as a currency is only really used among true natives of Fisterix. Even natives rarely use denominations higher than Et, due to the system's unnecessary complexity. In many cases, the higher denominations serve more as a treasure than a currency, and are often displayed as decorations in noble houses.
Each denomination of Ord is a small bead of special, often arcane material, which references a specific type of giant. Whether a given denomination is a counterfeit can be determined by examining its shadow under a bright light, which exhibits special, arcane hues and shapes that are incredibly difficult to duplicate. It is said that the current craftsman of the Clop is the only surviving craftsman with both the knowledge and skill to craft it, as his last apprentice died approximately 600 years ago.
Half of a bead, filled with dirt. Representative of the half-ogre (or Ogrillon), the Clod is a relatively recent addition to the Ord. It is a much smaller bead that is easier for human sized creatures to carry in hand or pocket, and most non-giants who need to use Ord for a transaction will make or take their payment in Clod.
A glass bead filled with a bit of dirt. Representative of ogre kind, the dregs of giant society, the Og is a large (by human standards) glass bead filled with dirt.
A perfectly spherical, transparent, glass bead.
Another relatively new addition to the Ord, added by Fibwink upon his ascension to the throne, the Et is made by fusing two smaller glass beads together.
This beautiful glass bead is filled with intricate, multicolored patterns. Rotating it in your hands causes the patterns to shift and scintillate.
This large glass bead is filled with carefully shaped bone. It is representative of the Hill Giant and its insatiable appetite.
A large glass bead filled with a beautiful, polished geode. It represents the wisdom of the Stone Giant.
Filled with a shard of ice that never melts, this currency represents the Ice Giants.
With insides that flicker with an eternal flame, this currency represents the Fire Giants. Many noble houses use Flame Ord
The inside of this large glass bead is filled with swirling clouds. It is said that the magically inclined might gaze into the clouds and see hints of future events.
Within this large glass bead, bolts of lightning crackle silently. Few mortals have ever set eyes on one of these incredible treasures.
