Rai (a.k.a. The Lawlight)

The Lawlight, also known as Rai, controls the domains of Law, Charity and Light. Not originally a god, but Ankira's son and Aliyah's older brother. Originally Rai was created to be the Overseers of Paladins, the Lawlight established the laws that surround the world and the oaths that Paladins to this day follow (even with his departure to the Solar Barrier). Albeit a bit cocky, the Lawlight was mentored by Ankira to get a sense of his power and was humbled on many occasions by Ankira. Rai was deeply devastated when Ankira's personality began to shift and he became darker and corrupted by Torinn. When Ankira went rogue, it was natural to give Rai the powers and domains that Ankira once held. But Rai believes he is not worthy, and he was left confused, frustrated and sad at what his Father did. Rai eventually stepped up to the plate and accepted his title of the Divine Domains, although he still deals with the conflictions to this day and wonders if he is up to the snuff of the other gods and goddesses in the Pantheon.
The Lawlight was adamant in dealing with Torinn and the Demons and Devils during the Uprising Wars. He did this in part to see if Ankira could be returned back to "normal". The Lawlight fought Torinn a total of 18 times, and in those 18 times he only got 1 hit on the Demon King. The Demon King pitied the God and let him live, but humbled him more than any God on the Council did. Torinn, to humble Rai even more, made him fight against his old Mentor and Father as well.
The Lawlight became bittered and cold as the Solar Barrier was established. He hoped one day to settle the score with Torinn, but he finds solace in the fact that his teachings were transcribed before it was too late. As stated previously, Rai deals with the conflictions of if he is worthy to have the titles he does. Even though he went above the Call of Duty during the Uprising Wars, this is an insecurity that is not so easily quelled.

Holy Books & Codes

Many of the Holy Books and Codes that remain of Rai's teachings have now been transferred as Paladin Oaths and books on Paladin etiquette and training. Although the name is long forgotten, Rai's legacy has remained intact. Even after the Uprising War, his legacy is perhaps the strongest of the Gods that went passed the Solar Barrier.

The symbol of the Lawlight is a white Spartan-style helmet, with two gold feathers on the left and right side of the helmet.

Divine Goals

The Divine Goal of The Lawlight is to improve the qualities within people. He wishes to vanquish evil that threatens the balance, while lifting those that life has been hard on. Most Paladins follow this type of Creed to this day. Always be kind and a guide to the light. Another personal goal of Rai is to see if he can get his mentor, Ankira back to his "normal state". Rai feels as if he was not worthy to usurp Ankira's title, and if they can manage to get Ankira back to his normal state then he can go back to being insignificant as he feels he is.
